The occurrence of the disaster is causing enormous damage in human lives and economy worldwide, and the intensity and frequency of natural disasters are expected to increase in the future due to climate change.

With mutual cooperation between the nations and the international organizations, the major purpose of the "4th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction" is to protect our beautiful nature by reducing the increasing disaster risks induced by climate change.

The emblem for this conference is imaging clean and green earth embraced by the seed, which is the ground for the green growth. We made this symbol with our wish and desire for this conference to be the seed of disaster risk reduction, and to make the world, beyond Asia, a "green environment, safe from disasters."
