¡á Introduction
The UN Asian Ministerial Conference is an official international conference of the Ministers of the disaster management departments in Asia hosted by the UN ISDR since 2005 following the South Asian Tsunami tragedy in December, 2004.

In the 3rd AMCDRR held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2008, the Republic of Korea has been finalized as the host country for the 2010 4th AMCDRR.

This 4th AMCDRR is a meaningful conference which the Ministers of disaster management departments of 62 nations determine the "Regional Roadmap or Action Plan for DRR through CCA" for the extreme weather events in response to the global key issues, the climate change.

The 4th AMCDRR Committee, consisted of experts from related departments and private sector, has been established in April 21, 2010 to provide private and public support in order to achieve successful hosting of the conference.
 
Discussion of the key International Disaster Prevention issues related to the agenda of the 4th AMCDRR

- Implementation of the opinion-gathering and agenda development by suggesting the disaster prevention strategy for the
   climate change response.
- Suggestion of the meaningful conference achievements such as suggesting the action plan and "DRR through CCA"
  resolution of the ministers of disaster management departments in Asia.
- Preparation of the discussion related to the key issues in the disaster prevention other than the topics of the main sessions.

Domestic and Foreign publicity on Green Growth and the importance of the disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

- Formulate a consensus for the importance of the climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction by publicizing
  the entire process of the conference for the development of safer Asia.
- Draw people's interest by cooperating intimately with international agencies such as UN, academies and
  organizations, research institutions, NGOs, public media, government, local governments.
- Present and publicize national key policies such as strengthening national resilience and 4 river project.

Domestic and Foreign publicity on Green Growth and the importance of the disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

- Realize the kind and safe image of Korea through ceremony and accommodation preparation for the security and smooth
  access of the delegations from member countries.
- Prepare a site of exchange for the Asian nations by providing various cultural programs such as the Climate Change
  Adaptation & Disaster Risk Reduction Exhibition (CADRE).
